In 2015 Brenwal were contracted to Volkerfitzpatrick to install the AGL ducting. The project was a challenging one for all involved, from the logistics to carrying out the works in a professional manner, with the minimum disruption to the Island. Brenwal has successfully gained repeat business from Volkerfitzpatrick over the past 8 years building a strong working relationship.
The works consisted of excavation through the volcanic rock to install a new pit and duct system for the AGL lighting system. The airport was operational during the project so the works were carried out between scheduled flights. There was a total of 9000lm of ducting and 248 duct chambers installed. All completed on time and within budget.
